Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life.

Ideally, we would start our day with a healthy breakfast before heading to our dream job, earning enough to pay our bills. We might even have a bit left. This is not the case for the majority of working Americans.

According to Gallup’s State of the American Workplace, “6% of employees are actively disengaged — they are miserable in the workplace and destroy what the most engaged employees build. The remaining 51% of employees are not engaged — they’re just there.” If you’ve ever worked alongside that 6%, you know how quickly that one bad apple can spoil the bunch.

43% of American employees have discovered how to stay engaged at work and even love their jobs.
