Position:

Our client is looking for a Sales Development leader to build and manage a high performing team that will become the primary lead generation mechanism for the company. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Sr. Manager of Sales Development will create, mentor and coach a world-class Sales Development Team to fuel growth. The ideal candidate will possess and contribute the experience, expertise, processes, and demonstrated success that will enable us to quickly build a high-performing team and grow revenue. This role requires strong leadership skills with a proven ability to deliver results.

The Sr. Manager, Sales Development will:

  • Take the primary leadership role in building and scaling a world class SDR Team Manage the Sales Development organization to goals, objectives and quota achievement
  • Build and refine sales lead processes and metrics to help propel growth
  • Build and refine sales lead campaigns and scripts, in collaboration with Marketing, to maximize our multi-dimensional ABM campaigns
  • Manage a diverse set of responsibilities including new lead generation, inbound prospecting, warm lead nurturing and initial lead qualification of early stage sales opportunities
  • Hire, motivate, coach and train SDRs to progress into the sales organization
  • Manage our external tele-prospecting agency Play a key role in implementing and maximizing revenue contribution from Chat leads
  • Ensure the effective use of SalesForce CRM and Hubspot systems
  • Develop prospecting lists using industry databases HIMSS
  • Analytics and Definitive Compile weekly/monthly team reports to assess and improve team performance
  • Proactively work to improve the cadence and throughput of the assigned sales development resources
  • Work closely with the sales/account management team to ensure a positive working relationship, maximize the impact and effectiveness of sales development and ensure a smooth and productive hand-off of qualified leads
  • Work as the primary liaison between Marketing and Sales to ensure efficient prospect/customer information exchange and hand-off
  • Prepare and present weekly forecasts Remove roadblocks to SDR success
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 3-5 years of management experience in Sales, Sales Development or Inside Sales
  • Minimum 3 years SaaS-based software and services experience required (additionally, experience in a software/SaaS firm within the healthcare sector would be a distinct advantage)
  • 2-3 years of management experience building and leading a high performing SDR team
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and scale a successful sales development team in a fast growth environment
  • Proven track record establishing and achieving (or exceeding) measurable goals in a high performing, fast paced, deadline and bottom line-driven Sales Development environment
  • Experience with start-up and/or private equity-backed businesses is strongly preferred
  • History of leveraging utilizing enterprise-level, consultative selling models over a long sales cycle (typically 12-18 mos)
  • Excellent working knowledge of inbound outbound tele-prospecting technologies, processes and tools
  • Ability to engage, train, coach and mentor sales development reps and interns diplomatically, while holding the team accountable
  • Demonstrated history of interacting effectively with all levels of management and across multiple departments including sales, marketing, product, and account management
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on-site at our office San Diego, CA
