Vice President of Marketing (Relocation Available)

The position will be responsible for creating, leading and measuring the overall marketing strategy, as well as the strategic development, brand awareness, lead generation and online presence.

Main Responsibilities

Marketing Communications:

  • Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies
  • Plan and execute product launches of new and existing products
  • Develop channel, segment and market strategies to enable targeted marketing
  • Design and review the Marketing department’s budget and campaign metrics
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly
  • Translates products, positioning into reality through social media, online advertisements and web design
  • Develop and manage the company’s website
  • Build marketing event plans and manage the company’s trade shows presence
  • Generate a monthly summary report and comprehensive quarterly and annual marketing report and present to the executive team
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories around new products/solutions announcements and initiatives that resonate with audiences
  • Work closely with sales leadership to enhance and align efforts
  • Be an effective leader and ensure all marketing programs are successful, metric-driven, and goal-oriented

Brand positioning:

  • Develops a clear definition of the company brands
  • Develop and execute marketing and communication strategy to enhance brand equity and awareness
  • Position the company brands relative to competition competitive set
  • Translates the brands positioning into reality through social media, online advertisements and web design

Lead Generation:

  • Foster company growth by the direct acquisition of potential customers
  • Create awareness of the company and its products to increase visibility in the marketplace
  • Establish a best-in-class social, digital and web presence that drives leads


  • Analyze competition, industry and market trends to translate findings into actionable tasks consistent with the overall marketing plan
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth

Educational background

  • Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline, MBA preferred

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in software B2B marketing
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience
  • Deep, demonstrable understanding of marketing strategy development, execution for new and existing brands, and ability to plan effective promotions
  • Social media strategy expertise and influencer marketing
  • A focus on leadership by example, a bias for results and execution, and the humility and confidence to put team success ahead of self
  • A proven track record of aligning the organization and owners around the brand and marketing strategy, while building partnership with sales and distribution partners
  • A demonstrated track record of development and execution of creative, innovative strategies to meet objectives - both short and long-term
  • Experience working cross-functionally to ensure marketing programs are in line with company objectives
  • Ability to travel 25%
