Director of North American Sales (Remote)

This position will focus on expanding and supporting Sales in North America by using enterprise class sales skills to evaluate opportunities and provide technical product information, presentations, proposals and quotations.  The position is responsible for account development in new markets, as well as expanding business with existing customers in the North America.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new relationships and revenue from Tier 1, 2, and 3 carriers and PayTV operators
  • Maintain strong client relationships with existing Tier 1, 2 and 3 carriers and PayTV operators
  • Manage sales cycle
  • Work in a complex, virtual, team environment crossing geographic boundaries
  • Achieve sales goals in an autonomous environment
  • Manage company resources necessary to close proposed business and develop and conduct executive level presentations and/or demonstrations that may require interaction and coordination with marketing, engineering, finance, legal and other company support staff
  • Sell products by implementing national sales plans
  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for region and territories and projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products
  • Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans
  • Maintain sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand
  • Maintain and develop sales channels
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise job results
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in business administration or related field
  • Master’s preferred
  • Successful experience in SaaS sales with a strong track record selling to enterprise broadcast and media customers in North America
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to articulate added value proposals
  • Strong understanding of how to position products against competitors

TRAVEL:

Travel will be required more than 50% of time
