We are seeking a tried and true, dynamic individual to join their team as Head of Operations, with a specific focus on driving process excellence, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring the successful achievement of deliverables to support continued growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, a keen eye for process optimization, and a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Lead the development, refinement, and implementation of efficient and streamlined operational processes across the organization. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, ensuring that processes are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • KPI Establishment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define clear and measurable KPIs aligned with organizational goals. Design comprehensive tracking mechanisms to monitor performance against these KPIs, enabling data-driven decision-making and timely interventions when necessary.
  • Performance Management: Establish a culture of accountability and performance excellence by setting clear expectations for teams and individuals. Regularly review performance against established KPIs, providing guidance and support to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Deliverable Achievement: Take ownership of project and operational deliverables, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely and successful execution. Anticipate potential roadblocks and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track and deliverables on schedule.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization within operations. Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting achievements, areas of concern, and proposed actions.
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality control standards relevant to laboratory automation, scientific processes, and areas of application. Oversee documentation and validation processes to maintain compliance and uphold product integrity. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with various departments, including Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Support, to align operations with broader business strategies. Collaborate on cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive overall organizational success.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to maximize operational efficiency and deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions. Develop and maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in operations management within Medical Device Manufacturing or Biotech/Pharmaceutical, preferably with a strong continues improvement driven organization background – with a focus on process optimization, KPI development, and deliverable achievement.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements for organizations ranging in size from $75-100M.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Project management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong contract management skills, including the ability to draft, review and negotiate contracts. 
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software to extract insights and generate reports.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain management tools, and relevant software applications.
  • Experience with Process Improvement Methodologies, certifications preferred. 
  • Experience with quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
