VP of Marketing – Relocation Available

As the Vice President of Marketing, you are a talented business professional with deep Marketing subject matter expertise and passionate about the intersection of technology and real estate. The Vice President of Marketing will report to and work closely with the CEO. S/he will play the lead role in the adoption, enhancement, and growth of the brand and network.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategy Development & Thought Leadership

  • Develop, communicate, and execute brand strategies that grow the business to achieve revenue and market expansion goals.
  • Lead the development of an integrated marketing strategy to achieve the organization's long-term goals of rapidly scaling our national presence and building an iconic and respected brand
  • Effectively champion this strategy within your marketing team and the broader organization to drive alignment and collaboration in execution across the business
  • Establish clear metrics that correspond and drive towards the long-term plan
  • Lead with a strong consumer orientation, always focused on new and better ways to serve the needs of and engage with our community of home buyers and sellers
  • Bring a data and insights-driven approach to strategy development and tactical execution across the business
  • Measure and report against KPIs to establish priorities, drive results, and determine mechanisms to improve results
  • Monitor trends and category developments and local market trends to better position our brand in the minds of real estate professionals and consumers. Monitor best practices throughout the industry, introducing successful programs from other markets to ours.
  • Develop a robust and scalable infrastructure that will allow us to expand Marketing support to our growing customer base
  • Build and implement strategies to achieve overall company strategic priorities (e.g., new technology adoption, scalable initiatives, marketing operations)

Innovation

  • Play a lead role in defining our innovation pipeline and ensuring our offering is continuously evolving to meet the needs of buyers and sellers while leveraging the points of differentiation inherent in our mission and values
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration throughout the innovation process, from ideation to R&D to go-to-market planning and commercialization in the market
  • Be persistent in the belief that innovation is not just about building better products but also about a customer-focused approach over the entire real estate life cycle

Brand Marketing

  • 360 focus on all elements of brand marketing, from consumer research and insights to creative strategy and execution to budget allocation and strategy across traditional and digital media, PR/communications, and other forms of brand development
  • Develop and launch integrated campaigns aimed at building brand awareness, driving new customer acquisition, and increasing loyalty of our customers over time
  • Enhance creative efforts, ensuring creative execution reflects our brand personality and values and is informed by data-driven consumer insights that align with the overall brand marketing strategy
  • Oversee all traditional and digital media and performance channel marketing activities and budgeted spend
  • Partner with Sales to align sales and marketing strategies
  • Use insights to deeply understand our customers and amplify our brand in all channels and all customer touchpoints
  • Build and maintain relationships with key agencies, local partners, and cross-functional teams to achieve these goals

Leadership

  • Serve as the leader in aligning company marketing strategy with business goals and objectives. Lead an excellent team of experienced marketing professionals and agencies. Serve as a subject matter expert in and outside our organization on real estate. Ability to inspire, educate and motivate our network in the area of real estate and marketing.
  • Build, coach, and develop your team to create a best-in-class marketing organization
  • Assume a leadership role across the business, with a deep understanding of how we operate and the ability to create cross-functional solid and collaboration to support our overall business objectives
  • Be a strong voice in determining the evolving path of our corporate strategy as we continue to scale
  • Significant P&L ownership, with a focus on revenue growth, campaign ROI, and end-to-end marketing spend

What We're Looking For:

 

  • 10-15 years, with proven experience developing and executing a successful marketing strategy at scale with significant growth and transformation
  • Experience in high growth consumer-oriented company that has fundamentally defined or reshaped consumer perception
  • Agile and organized working style to manage and consistently prioritize critical initiatives and multiple projects with varying stakeholders
  • Strong manager and people leader, having led teams comprised of 5+
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with teams and lead cross-functional projects
  • Experience in strategic planning and process improvement
  • A data-driven and results oriented decision-maker who is evidence-based in their approach
  • Solutions-oriented mindset: creative, positive problem-solver who focuses on serving their teams and regions generously
  • Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset, self-motivated and driven to get things done
  • Excellent communicator with a natural ability to connect with others
  • Ability to empower and inspire the collective team
  • Strategic marketing program development, including standards and performance metrics (ROI)
  • A strong storytelling orientation with the ability to weave mission and vision into consumer-facing messaging across all channels
  • Experience in a highly analytical and data-driven environment, whether in a marketing role or otherwise (e.g., strategy consulting, private equity)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Combined creative, innovative, and evidence-based, analytical approach to Marketing
